[Godiva's Choice]
Life is full of important choices, some of which have great impact on the lives around you. Lady Godiva, as the countess of Coventry, had to face a more difficult choice. She chooses to admit the shameful request of her husband, showing her naked body, to save suffering people from oppressive taxation in her town. Her act of self-sacrifice raises a question. Why do people sacrifice? Self-sacrifice is the greatest and the hardest choice in one's life, and the action is the highest ethical gesture, which expects nothing in return.

In my thesis, Lady Godiva is described as an emblem of self-sacrifice, bravery, and love. Also, the story of Lady Godiva was reinterpreted with my imagination. The viewpoint of my animation is from that of the Peeping Tom, who tries to see Godiva naked. Even though the historically handed-down story of Godiva is described in a serious way, I wanted to illustrate the story in a funny way by using the viewpoint of the Peeping Tom.
